If so, then consider a challenging opportunity teaching groups of 4th - 12th grade students Astrocamp's astronomy and phyical science curriculum. Instructors are responsible for implementing an active, hands-on, experientially oriented program including lights and lasers, atmosphere and gases, gravity, and a variety of evening programs. This is a high energy program where instructor spend long days working and teaching in a unique environment.
Astrocamp is located on 90 acres at an elevation of 5,000' in the mountain town of Idyllwild. Our excellent teaching facilities include 10 computer-driven Meade LX200s, labs, great food, an awesome ropes course and zip line, good staff accommodations and a large, enclosed, state-of-the-art swimming pool. The Astrocamp Instructor position requires a Bachelor's degree in astronomy, physics or other earth, physical, or environmental science. An interest in astronomy and the earth, physical or environmental sciences is a plus, as is experience in ropes courses, lifeguard certification, and previous experience in working with children in a camp or outdoor education environment. math camp
